Volunteer Liaison Interpreters
We are looking for volunteer liaison interpreters to facilitate communication between international participants and local services during EHMA 2025!
This role is critical to ensuring smooth event operations and enhancing the experience of all attendees. Liaison interpreters will assist participants with practical, non-specialised communication tasks, such as making reservations, supporting logistics, and coordinating on-site services. This is not a formal conference interpreter role, as all presentations and sessions will be conducted in English.
Key Responsibilities
• Facilitate communication between English and French speakers.
• Support delegates with practical needs, including making phone calls, arranging transportation, and handling reservations in French.
• Act as a point of contact for assigned participants, ensuring seamless coordination and resolving any issues.
• Provide on-site support to EHMA staff by liaising with service providers in French.
• Help create a welcoming and professional environment throughout the conference.
Skills and Requirements
• Native or fluent proficiency in French and excellent command of English.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to remain professional and calm in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Problem-solving mindset and attention to detail.
• Previous experience or interest in event management, healthcare, or public policy is a plus.
• Availability for the entire duration of the conference (4-6 June 2025).

This session will not be recorded, and we advise to all interested students to participate.
